Greenthumb Gardening is an mini-online shop that sells supplies related to SNAP Hydroponics or gardening, and provides technical support to the owner's scope of knowledge. It is solely owned and operated by Jose Diego E. Roxas, an incoming third year BS Agricultural Biotechnology student at the University of the Philippines, Los Banos.

It all started when he was about to enter college in 2015 when he wanted to explore hydroponics since he was having difficulty in raising vegetable crops as a result of physical limitations at home. While researching for options, he has found SNAP Hydroponics, which coincidentally, was produced in UP Los Banos. While walking papers for admission, he found the time to buy a set, and set up one just before his first academic year started. Initial results were not so successful, but eventually, he was able to produce yields. Two years on, and he continues to practice hydroponics at home.

It was in December 2016 when he realized that there is a market for SNAP Hydroponics, considering that in his hydroponics lectures (as part of a three-day biotechnology boot camp in Camarines Norte hosted by his UPLB-based organization), students and teachers expressed interest in the technology. But it was only in February 2017 when he completed his first online order. That same client directed him to the market that looks for hydroponic supplies. Since then, he has sold numerous SNAP sets and at the same time, provided technical support that gave confidence to his clients. Whenever a problem arises, he tries his best to ensure that the problem is resolved by constantly communicating with the clients to make them feel cared for, not left in thin air.

At the start of his break from college, June 2017, he finally decided to formalize his reselling business by branding it as Greenthumb Gardening, possessing the same quality service he has rendered from the start. Although it may not always be the case as a result of multiple factors, he tries his best nonetheless, with the belief that it is through quality service will his business continue and thrive. He understands his clients' needs, being an online buyer and gardener himself.
